Welcome to Our Flat Stanley Project 2010!

We are bringing Flat Stanley into the 21st century!  This project has been around for many years, but it is a little outdated so we have done some updating.  We have adapted this project to include some of the 21st century skills that students will need in the future.  In order to address these skills students will use various Web 2.0 tools in this project.

What we expect from our participants:

  • Facts about your state with pictures
  • Pictures of places Flat Stanley visited
  • Pictures of your school
  • 1 famous landmark from your state
  • 1 recipe that is traditional in your state
  • 1 small souvenir that can be added to Flat Stanley to represent your state
  • Edit/Add content to our WIKI
  • Communicate with us using Skype software

How this project will work.

What a great experience being able to skype with the children from Louisiana. Girls and boys, we really enjoyed learning about Louisiana and were so surprised at how much you know about your state. How clever to use Dr. Seuss' book "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" to tell us about Louisian. You did a wonderful job. Thank you so much. Congratulations on your team winning the Super Bowl.
